Aran Islands

Santorini weddings are one of the most popular destination wedding venues in Europe.  Enjoy your wedding in a castle, chateau, villa, or church.

The Aran Islands are made up of three major islands, the largest being Inish More, where Irish is spoken. Visiting these islands is like taking a step back in time. There is horse-and-cart traffic on narrow roads lined with stonewalls. The Inish More has a horseshoe-shaped Dun Aengus Fortress that was built on a cliff in the southwest shore of the island near Kilmurvy. This island may become very crowded on a summer day. Get a glimpse of Hy Brasil, which is an imaginary island off the coast. The island is actually an optical illusion created by weather conditions, and until the 16th century, the island was even marked on maps. The other two islands, the Inishmaan, and the Inisheer give a sense of what Ireland was like before its country people migrated to the cities. There are only a handful of cars in these cities, so rent a bicycle, or take a horse and buggy ride to get around. Come and see all the wonderful things that the Aran Islands offer.
